Joint Security Team Arrests Five Suspected Kidnappers in Ekiti

A combined team of the police, Amotekun, OPC, NSCDC and local hunters on Tuesday being embarked on a bush combing operation through Oke-Osun, Ikere/Igbo-Okah to the thick forest around Iju/Ikere boundary as part of effort to rid Ekiti State of insecurity. During the operation, five suspected kidnappers namely- USMAN JELILI, MOHAMMED BANDE, ABUBAKAR ALIU, ISAH ABDULAHI and SULEIMAN ABDULAHI were arrested. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Ekiti State Police Command. During interrogation, the suspects claimed to be herdsmen but it was later discovered that none of them has a cattle and no cattle was found with them in the forest where they were arrested. The following items were found with them in the forest; Two Motorcycles, one cutlass, one jack knife/ dagger and four phones.

According to reliable sources within the anti-graft agency, this development is expected to occur later today, as confirmed by Channels Television on Tuesday. According to Channels TV, Betta Edu, aged 37, has been under intense scrutiny for her involvement in a scandal related to the approval of a payment amounting to N585.2 million into a private account owned by a civil servant. This situation has sparked criticism from various quarters, including rights groups and activists. Lecturer shares her experience after spending a night at TB Joshua

A lecturer of the Imo State University has shared her experience after visiting the late TB Joshua's church. Gloria Ernest-Samuel decided to speak out after BBC released a documentary exposing the alleged abuse the late preacher subjected members to. She wrote: "I passed a night at Synagogue and l know TB Joshua wasn't a prophet of God." Lecturer shares her experience after spending a night at TB Joshua She added: "It's good people are speaking out now. I told those close to me that he was not a Man of God." Her friends reacted, asking why she kept quiet all along. Others pointed out TB Joshua's philanthropic activities while he was alive and she replied: "That he gave some people rice doesn't erase the fact that the man committed some despicable crimes. He used God 's name in vain. This is not the first time I am talking about his style of religion. He served another master other than God. That record should be well stated."
