Nigeria Still Has Cheapest Fuel Price In Africa - IPMAN.

The National Public Relations Officer of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), Yakubu Suleiman, has said that even with the sudden hike in the pump price of petrol in Nigeria, the country still has the cheapest price of the product among other African countries. He stated this during a chat with ARISE TV concerning the recent hike in the price of Premium Motor Spirit, otherwise known as petrol. Suleiman also blamed the sudden hike in the pump price of petrol on the cost of dollars. He explained that petroleum products are imported to Nigeria using dollars, hence the increase. Guinness World Record Gives Hilda Baci New Title.

Hilda Baci.  The Guinness World Records (GWR) has bestowed a new title on Nigerian celebrity chef,  Hilda Baci , naming her ‘protector of the cookathon’. Baci who was recently  officially confirm  as the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon by an individual took to her social media account to show off her official plaque. Recall GWR on the 13th of June, wrote via its official Twitter account:  “After reviewing all the footage, we’re delighted to announce that Hilda Baci is the new record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).” Baci now holds the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual with a time of 93 hours and 11 minutes. On Monday, the 26-year-old Akwa-Ibom-born chef  received   her Guinness World Record plaque for the longest cooking time by an individual. NAFDAC Bans Importation Of Noodles To Nigeria.

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has commenced an investigation into the news of recalled noodles by Taiwan and Malaysia authorities. It was reported days ago that Taiwan and Malaysia authorities discovered ethylene oxide, a cancer-causing agent, in the product. Reaffirming a ban on importation of Indomie noodles, the Director-General of the Agency, Prof Mojisola Adeyeye, said on Monday, May 1, that the Director of the Food Lab Services Directorate has been engaged and has started working on the methodology for the analysis. It is also expected that the agency's Food Safety and Applied Nutrition Directorate will on Tuesday, May 2, randomly sample Indomie noodles including the seasoning from the production facilities while Post Marketing Surveillance Directorate samples from the markets. Adeyeye said; "Indomie noodles have been banned from being imported into the country for many years. It is one of the foods on the government prohibitio
