I just read a piece by Peter Obi talking about June 12 as the fulfilment of our collective Democratic goal. MKO Abiola emerged as the Presidential Candidate of SDP while Ibrahim Toffa was the NRC candidate.  IBB was a student of Egyptian ex-President Gamal Nasser and molded his trajectory to leadership after him. Nasser was a military general who planed a coup but handed over power to a senior General Mohamed Naguib to take all the international bashings that new heads of military juntas get. He stayed behind and did all possible to make the government unpopular.
