TIMELESS CONCERT IN OSUN STATE THIS YEAR - DAVIDO.

Following the victory of his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, at the Supreme Court, afrobeats star, Davido has announced plans to hold a musical concert in Osun State. We reported that the apex court on Tuesday affirmed Adeleke's victory in the July 12, 2022, governorship election in Osun State. Taking to his Twitter handle shortly after the judgement, Davido announced plans to hold a "Timeless concert" in Osun State later in the year. He wrote, "Timeless concert in Osun this year ?? @Tunegee ??? Cc @AAdeleke_01." Recall that Governor Adeleke attended Davido's "Timeless concert" at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos last month.

In a lead judgement delivered by Justice Emmanuel Agim, the court dismissed an appeal against Ademola Adeleke's election victory by Adegboyega Oyetola, the gubernatorial candidate of the All Progressives Congress,  APC . Reacting to the verdict, Davido took to Twitter to  mock oppositions  with a line from a track in his latest album, Timeless. The Supreme Court has affirmed Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of Osun state. The apex gave the ruling this afternoon May 9, while delivering judgment in an appeal filed by the immediate past governor of the state, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC challenging the ruling of the Appeal Court which upheld the election of Adeleke. Delivering judgment, the five-member panel of the apex court led by Justice Emmanuel Agim, held that the court of appeal correctly reinstated Adeleke as governor. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) winner of the July 16, 2022 poll, saying he scored 403,371 votes to sack Oyetola who was the then incumbent and polled a total of 375,027. Oyetola and his party had alleged irregularities in the polls and challenged Adeleke's victory in the tribunal.
