SOLUDO BIDS FINAL FAREWELL TO FORMER GOVERNOR OF ANAMBRA STATE, LATE DR CHINWOKE CLEMENT MBADINUJU

Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo pays his final tribute to Late Dr CC Mbadinauju who passed away at the age of 77, the final burial ceremony was held at his country home in Uli, Ihiala Local Government Area, Anambra State .  Mr Governor in his condolence speech recognized the former governor as a giant whose towering achievements still speaks till date, his great stride in Anambra state and Nigeria will never be forgotten. He consoles the family,the people of Uli and Anambra at large.  In the same spirit, Mr Governor highlighted Odera's contributions to the state, including the construction of the House of Assembly Comples and Judiciary, Alex Ekwueme Square, Dora Akunyili  Women's Development Center, and the Anambra State University, now renamed Chukwuemeka Odimegwu Ojukwu University.      Governor Soludo acknowledged that even though there was strike during Odera's tenure but occurance should destroy all the great legacies he left behind. "

Chief Olusegun Obasanjo Consulting on 'Rethinking Western Liberal Democracy for Africa,' former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo staunchly defended his position that Western liberal democracy has not proven effective for the continent. The ex-President argued that the Western model fails to consider Africa's unique history, culture, and traditions. Speaking as the convener of the gathering, Obasanjo stated that the Western style of democracy has faltered in Africa due to its neglect of the majority's opinions. He asserted that the government's representation of only a fraction of the people leads to the exclusion of the majority. Describing Western liberal democracy as "a government of a few people over all the people," Obasanjo criticised its inability to fully represent the diverse population. Grammy-winning Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, aka Wizkid, who recently announced a break from music, has revealed his next occupation. According to the Starboy boss, his next occupation is to become an actor. Wizkid said he wants to become an actor because he wants to kiss women and shoot guns in movies. He revealed this via his Instagram story recently. He wrote in Pidgin, "Shebi I tell una I one dey act film!...I just want dey kiss and shoot a gun for a movie. Daz all!!" His revelation came barely 24 hours after he was spotted with prolific Nollywood filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan. Meanwhile, Wizkid has also revealed that he is considering extending his break from music. The 'Essence' crooner, who initially announced that he would be out of the studio for three or four years, said he was now considering extending the break to six years. On his Instagram story, Wizkid wrote, "Loving every bit of this holiday. Might extend to six years."

You Never Rejected Me, Davido's Late Aide's Son Hails Singer On Birthday

Abdul Uthman, son of Davido's late aide, Obama DMW, on Tuesday appreciated the singer for taking care of him after his dad's passing. Uthman made this known in a birthday note penned for the Afrobeats star, who clocked a new age on Tuesday. On his Instagram page, Uthman wrote, "Dad, I'm writing this from the bottom of my heart. Keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life!  "You promised to help me since I lost my father. You never rejected me. You loved me just the way a father should love his child. "Every video of us, you always saying 'my son'. Dad, my father would be so grateful for all you do for me! I love you so much.  "There was a day I was so broken, but when we spoke, he didn't just solve my issue. He spoke to me, 'My son hope you really good'. These words are so genuine and lovely." Obama DMW, whose real name is Habeeb Uthman, died on June 29, 2021.

"I Did not know Burning Qur'an is offense" Tani Olohun begs Muslims

A popular traditionalist, Abdulazeez Adegbola, a.k.a Tani Olohun, has pleaded with the Muslim community to forgive him for allegedly burning the Qur'an and defaming some Muslims in Kwara State. Tani Olorun made this plea while addressing the court after he was granted bail on Thursday, Nov. 16. The cases against Tani Olorun heard on Thursday were instituted by Sheikh Labeeb Lagbaji and Modrasat Muhammed led by Professor Abubakar Aliagan before Magistrate Adam for allegedly burning the Quran among other offences. Adressing the court, Tani Olorun, an Isese adherent, pleaded with "Alfa Labeeb", one of the applicants, and the "Muslims" for his actions. He said, "I don't know that burning the Qur'an is an offense, and when I was told, I immediately pulled down the video of the incident from my social media handle in less than a minute. Hilda was welcomed like a queen at the Guinness World Records headquarters at Canary Wharf, London's South Quay Plaza.
