Irish Chef Dethrones Hilda Baci,Sets the Guinness World Record of the Longest Cooking Marathon.

           The Nigerian celebrated chef,Hilda Baci has been dethroned from her world record of the 'Longest Cooking Marathon'.This occurred,after an Irish chef,Alan Fisher surpassed the previous duration of cooking,which Hilda had set. 

           Hilda Baci known for her exceptional culinary achievements, has been dethroned from her Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

          The announcement was made by the Guinness Book of Records on its official X account on Tuesday.



         The new record holder, Alan Fisher, from Ireland, accomplished an astonishing culinary marathon, cooking for 119 hours and 57 minutes at his restaurant in Japan.

            The news has evoked various reactions from Nigerians. 

          A Twitter user named DanielRegha commented, "Hilda Baci's reign has come to an end, but her name will forever be inscribed in the history books, which is an achievement. 

"Congratulations to the new Guinness World Record holder. It's just a matter of time before someone else attempts and claims the crown. 

"A big shout-out to the previous record holders, and best wishes to all."


Another user, DeanOfBoiz, added, "Hilda Baci remains unparalleled; she didn't merely cook but also brought fresh fame to the Guinness World Records."


Amosegun expressed optimism about Hilda's potential comeback, stating, "Keep an eye out for Hilda's return. This will make her exceedingly prosperous, as numerous brands will want to associate with her. Congratulations in advance to Hilda, and kudos to the new champion!"


DavidMpopo01 said, “Hilda Baci will surpass this......the next cooking marathon will be announced soon be eternally remembered."


“This man didn’t only break longest cookathon record, he also broke the longest bakeathon record. Impressive, Alan!,” Beautiranye added

Baci has also congratulated Fisher on his record-breaking feat.

Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023, Empowers States, Private Companies To Generate Power.

This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has signed the 2023 Electricity Act which is a replacement for the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 into a law. The newly enacted law will de-monopolise Nigerian electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. Recall that the Electricity Act 2023 was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022 to allow the states to issue licences to private investors who can operate mini-grids and power plants within the state. But the Act precludes interstate and transnational electricity distribution. There is a small town on your way to Oyo, just behind Fiditi, it's called Ilu Ajẹ. Literally, it translates to "Town of Witches". In the late 80s,  there used to be a sign board in Fiditi that pointed to the path to the village,  the signboard had the inscription : "WAY TO ILU AJẸ, HOME OF SCIENCE!". Lots of people used to fear indigenes of Ilu Ajẹ because it was said that every man in Ilu Ajẹ is born of a witch, and every woman in ilu Ajẹ is a witch!.
