BREAKING:Police Exhumes Mohbad's Body For Autopsy

The Nigeria Police Force, Lagos State Command has exhumed the remains of late singer Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka MohBad.

His body was exhumed on Thursday September 21 and has been taken to the hospital where autopsy will commence immediately.

The Lagos Police Public Relation Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin also confirmed the exhumation on his official 'X' handle (formerly Twitter)

He wrote, " Exhumation completed. Autopsy to commence. #Justiceformohbad #Justice4mohbad".

The father of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has spoken about the death of his son. In a video interview that went viral on Saturday, Joseph Aloba narrated, "I think the injection led to his death. I don't know the people that took him the hospital, but according to what I heard, he was vomiting after recieving the injection and that was when they decided to take him to the hospital.  "I did not hear anything from the doctor because I was not there. They had returned him home when I met his body. So, I decided that they should  bring him to Ikorodu for his burial. My believe is that it's God that gives and it's God that takes. BREAKING: Court jails Akwa Ibom YPP gov candidate 42 years for corruption.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election. Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari's administration for the hardship in the country. This is coming a few days after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade lamented over the suffering of Nigerians. However, the 'It is what it is' crooner said the Buhari-led administration had done nothing other than waste eight years of Nigerians' lives. In a tweet, Adekunle Gold said the country has been in regression since the Buhari administration took over in 2015. "This current administration wasted 8 years of our lives. 8 years, we regressed as a nation,"  he wrote. In 2022, Adekunkle Gold had disclosed to his fans that he was born with sickle cell disease, adding that at the age of 20, he begged God to take his life due to the unbearable crisis.

Court Reinstated Ademola Adeleke as Governor of Osun State.

The appellate court sitting in Abuja has upheld Mr Ademola Adeleke Nurudeen as the governor of Osun State. Recall that the Osun State tribunal had sacked Adeleke as Governor months after his victory citing such issues as over-voting in 749 polling units in the 10 LG areas of the state. A three-member panel of justices decided in Adeleke's appeal on Friday, concluding that the election tribunal fell short in finding that Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress had established their claim of over voting. The court of appeal had faulted the tribunal for making a decision which was based on oral witness of alleged over voting as what is usually considered are the information on the BVAs and voter registration. In addition to overturning the tribunal's decision, the court gave the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate Gboyega Oyetola N500, 000 in costs in its lead judgment, which was delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal.

Assuming he died at an older age, we might have considered putting his body in the mortuary and taking it at a later date.
