President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has reassured his administration will focus on providing adequate security for Nigerians in every part of the country.

The president stated this while speaking at the graduation of Course 45 of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Jaji, Kaduna State.

Tinubu, a former Lagos State governor, pledged more support for the military as he commended them for protecting the territorial integrity of the nation.

The president, who also congratulated the graduating officers, described the military officers serving Nigeria as the best group of people out of the over 200 million citizens of the country.

Two hundred and ninety-one participants graduated and were conferred with the Passed Staff Course (PSC) honor.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, regrets to announce the passing of Lt. General Taoreed Abiodun Lagbaja, Chief of the Army Staff, at age 56. He passed away on Tuesday night in Lagos after a period of illness. Born on February 28, 1968, Lt. General Lagbaja was appointed Chief of Army Staff on June 19, 2023, by President Tinubu. His distinguished military career began when he enrolled in the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1987. Twitter owner, Elon Musk, has said that the microblogging platform will soon be paying users for ads appearing when other people view their profiles in what comes as an extension of Twitter's monetization program. This offer is, however, exclusively for verified users, according to Musk. For creators on Twitter who are already getting paid for impressions on their content, the Twitter boss said the new monetization program would make it a double payout. There is a small town on your way to Oyo, just behind Fiditi, it's called Ilu Ajẹ. Literally, it translates to "Town of Witches". In the late 80s,  there used to be a sign board in Fiditi that pointed to the path to the village,  the signboard had the inscription : "WAY TO ILU AJẸ, HOME OF SCIENCE!". Lots of people used to fear indigenes of Ilu Ajẹ because it was said that every man in Ilu Ajẹ is born of a witch, and every woman in ilu Ajẹ is a witch!. It was said some people visited Ilu Ajẹ to find out why a whole village would be populated by witches. What they said: Because the Baale (village head) is dead and no replacement has been chosen yet, we met with the chiefs who told us the history of the town. Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023, Empowers States, Private Companies To Generate Power.

This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has signed the 2023 Electricity Act which is a replacement for the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 into a law. The newly enacted law will de-monopolise Nigerian electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. Recall that the Electricity Act 2023 was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022 to allow the states to issue licences to private investors who can operate mini-grids and power plants within the state. But the Act precludes interstate and transnational electricity distribution.
