FG - Tinubu Will Be Sworn In As President Despite Court Cases.

Nigeria’s ‘president-elect’, Bola Tinubu, will be sworn in on May 29 despite the court cases challenging his victory, the information and culture minister, Lai Mohammed has said.

Mohammed, however, noted that opposition political parties have the right to challenge the outcome of the presidential election in court.

The Labour Party candidate and former Anambra governor, Mr Peter Obi polled 6,101,533 votes to come third.

argued that the results do not reflect the wish of the majority of Nigerians.

Meanwhile, the PDP, Labour Party and their candidates have filed suits to challenge Tinubu’s victory.

Addressing a gathering during a visit to the United Kingdom, the minister said Tinubu would be sworn in on May 29, 2023, in line with the constitution.

Mohammed claimed supporters of the defeated Labour presidential candidate Peter Obi were.

Twitter owner, Elon Musk, has said that the microblogging platform will soon be paying users for ads appearing when other people view their profiles in what comes as an extension of Twitter's monetization program. This offer is, however, exclusively for verified users, according to Musk. For creators on Twitter who are already getting paid for impressions on their content, the Twitter boss said the new monetization program would make it a double payout. There is a small town on your way to Oyo, just behind Fiditi, it's called Ilu Ajẹ. Literally, it translates to "Town of Witches". In the late 80s,  there used to be a sign board in Fiditi that pointed to the path to the village,  the signboard had the inscription : "WAY TO ILU AJẸ, HOME OF SCIENCE!". Lots of people used to fear indigenes of Ilu Ajẹ because it was said that every man in Ilu Ajẹ is born of a witch, and every woman in ilu Ajẹ is a witch!. It was said some people visited Ilu Ajẹ to find out why a whole village would be populated by witches. Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023, Empowers States, Private Companies To Generate Power.

This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has signed the 2023 Electricity Act which is a replacement for the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 into a law. The newly enacted law will de-monopolise Nigerian electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. Recall that the Electricity Act 2023 was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022 to allow the states to issue licences to private investors who can operate mini-grids and power plants within the state. But the Act precludes interstate and transnational electricity distribution.
