Tinubu returns to Nigeria

President-elect, Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria.

Tinubu's return was confirmed by his Director of Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga.

He was received at the Abuja international airport by the Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima and some state governors.

Tweeting about his arrival, Onanuga wrote:

"Jagaban lands in Abuja, Vice President elect Kashim Shettima and governors at the airport reception for President elect Tinubu."

This put to rest weeks of speculations regarding his health status and whereabouts.

Federal Government May Raise Minimum Wage to N200,000, to Take Decision Soon.

There are strong indications that the federal government is favourably disposed to raising the minimum wage to as high as N200k per month as demanded by the organised labour in the country. However, state governors are urging for caution while Anambra State governor Charles Soludo has been asked to chair a Technical Working Group (TWG) to resolve the issues and its various dimensions. LEADERSHIP gathered that the matter was discussed at the last month's National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and it was there that the Salaries, Incomes & Wages Commission made a presentation on how the federal government can meet up with the demand of N200,000 per month minimum wage. We reported that the apex court on Tuesday affirmed Adeleke's victory in the July 12, 2022, governorship election in Osun State. Lagos State Governor Delivers The First Electric Buses in Nigeria.

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced that the Lagos government has received the first batch of electric buses for public transportation, making it the first state in Nigeria to do so. Tricycle Driver Strung Up For Killing Passenger Over #50 In Bayelsa.

A keke driver has been lynched to death shortly after he stabbed a young man named Douglas Joseph to death over N50. According to reports the incident happened in Yenizue-Epie community of Yenagoa Local Government Area, Bayelsa State. The passenger who was stabbed by the Keke driver, Douglas Joseph, 30, was a native of the community and a father of three. According to an eyewitness, the keke driver charged the passenger a fare of N150 which was supposed to be N100. The passenger, Douglas did not agree to pay the fare and it ended in a fight.
