💬 Russia: Trump’s less interventionist stance on foreign policy may appeal to Moscow, with some Russian leaders hoping he’ll cut back U.S. aid to Ukraine. However, Moscow remains uncertain, aware that Congress may resist such moves. Dmitry Medvedev, a close Putin ally, mentioned Trump’s “business-first” mentality, suggesting this might work in Russia's favor, though the situation is still uncertain.


💬 Middle East: Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, have welcomed Trump’s return, seeing it as a renewal of strong U.S.-Israel ties. Yet, nations like Iran worry about Trump’s pro-Israel stance and potential increases in U.S. support for Israeli military actions. Hamas has also voiced its concerns, fearing that Trump’s policies will favor Israel, escalating regional tensions.


💬 Europe: Europe faces uncertainty, with leaders fearing Trump may pull back NATO funding, placing higher security burdens on European nations. Germany’s Annalena Baerbock has stated Germany’s continued alliance with the U.S., despite Trump’s possible NATO-related demands. 💬 China and Taiwan: China worries about Trump’s unpredictability and strong stance on trade and Taiwan, with Beijing’s officials preparing for possible tensions. The father of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has spoken about the death of his son. In a video interview that went viral on Saturday, Joseph Aloba narrated, "I think the injection led to his death. BREAKING: Court jails Akwa Ibom YPP gov candidate 42 years for corruption.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election. Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari's administration for the hardship in the country. This is coming a few days after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade lamented over the suffering of Nigerians. However, the 'It is what it is' crooner said the Buhari-led administration had done nothing other than waste eight years of Nigerians' lives. In a tweet, Adekunle Gold said the country has been in regression since the Buhari administration took over in 2015. "This current administration wasted 8 years of our lives. 8 years, we regressed as a nation,"  he wrote. In 2022, Adekunkle Gold had disclosed to his fans that he was born with sickle cell disease, adding that at the age of 20, he begged God to take his life due to the unbearable crisis.

Court Reinstated Ademola Adeleke as Governor of Osun State.

The appellate court sitting in Abuja has upheld Mr Ademola Adeleke Nurudeen as the governor of Osun State. Recall that the Osun State tribunal had sacked Adeleke as Governor months after his victory citing such issues as over-voting in 749 polling units in the 10 LG areas of the state. A three-member panel of justices decided in Adeleke's appeal on Friday, concluding that the election tribunal fell short in finding that Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress had established their claim of over voting. The court of appeal had faulted the tribunal for making a decision which was based on oral witness of alleged over voting as what is usually considered are the information on the BVAs and voter registration. In addition to overturning the tribunal's decision, the court gave the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate Gboyega Oyetola N500, 000 in costs in its lead judgment, which was delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal.
