💬 Russia: Trump’s less interventionist stance on foreign policy may appeal to Moscow, with some Russian leaders hoping he’ll cut back U.S. aid to Ukraine. However, Moscow remains uncertain, aware that Congress may resist such moves. Dmitry Medvedev, a close Putin ally, mentioned Trump’s “business-first” mentality, suggesting this might work in Russia's favor, though the situation is still uncertain.


💬 Middle East: Israeli leaders, including Prime Minister Netanyahu, have welcomed Trump’s return, seeing it as a renewal of strong U.S.-Israel ties. Yet, nations like Iran worry about Trump’s pro-Israel stance and potential increases in U.S. support for Israeli military actions. Hamas has also voiced its concerns, fearing that Trump’s policies will favor Israel, escalating regional tensions.


💬 Europe: Europe faces uncertainty, with leaders fearing Trump may pull back NATO funding, placing higher security burdens on European nations. Germany’s Annalena Baerbock has stated Germany’s continued alliance with the U.S., despite Trump’s possible NATO-related demands. 💬 China and Taiwan: China worries about Trump’s unpredictability and strong stance on trade and Taiwan, with Beijing’s officials preparing for possible tensions. There is a small town on your way to Oyo, just behind Fiditi, it's called Ilu Ajẹ. Literally, it translates to "Town of Witches". In the late 80s,  there used to be a sign board in Fiditi that pointed to the path to the village,  the signboard had the inscription : "WAY TO ILU AJẸ, HOME OF SCIENCE!". Lots of people used to fear indigenes of Ilu Ajẹ because it was said that every man in Ilu Ajẹ is born of a witch, and every woman in ilu Ajẹ is a witch!. It was said some people visited Ilu Ajẹ to find out why a whole village would be populated by witches. Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023, Empowers States, Private Companies To Generate Power.

This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has signed the 2023 Electricity Act which is a replacement for the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 into a law. The newly enacted law will de-monopolise Nigerian electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. Recall that the Electricity Act 2023 was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022 to allow the states to issue licences to private investors who can operate mini-grids and power plants within the state. But the Act precludes interstate and transnational electricity distribution.
