Veteran singer, Inetimi Alfred Odon alias Timaya explains why he doesn't have a Nigerian girl, and why he wouldn't date a Nigerian man if he were a Nigerian girl.


The singer was recently featured in a recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM.

Speaking, Timaya explained that he doesn't really have a problem with Nigerian men, but if he were a Nigerian girl, he wouldn't date a Nigeria guy.

He noted that he doesn't have a Nigerian girlfriend.

According to Bayelsa-born singer, there's no fun in dating a person whose background, upbringing, and environment are similar to yours.

He opined that the relationship would be too toxic, like that between a police and thief.

The father of the late Nigerian singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad has spoken about the death of his son. In a video interview that went viral on Saturday, Joseph Aloba narrated, "I think the injection led to his death. I don't know the people that took him the hospital, but according to what I heard, he was vomiting after recieving the injection and that was when they decided to take him to the hospital.  "I did not hear anything from the doctor because I was not there. BREAKING: Court jails Akwa Ibom YPP gov candidate 42 years for corruption.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election. Nigerian afrobeat singer and songwriter, Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, popularly known as Adekunle Gold, has blamed President Muhammadu Buhari's administration for the hardship in the country. This is coming a few days after Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade lamented over the suffering of Nigerians. However, the 'It is what it is' crooner said the Buhari-led administration had done nothing other than waste eight years of Nigerians' lives. In a tweet, Adekunle Gold said the country has been in regression since the Buhari administration took over in 2015. "This current administration wasted 8 years of our lives. 8 years, we regressed as a nation,"  he wrote. Court Reinstated Ademola Adeleke as Governor of Osun State.

The appellate court sitting in Abuja has upheld Mr Ademola Adeleke Nurudeen as the governor of Osun State. Recall that the Osun State tribunal had sacked Adeleke as Governor months after his victory citing such issues as over-voting in 749 polling units in the 10 LG areas of the state. A three-member panel of justices decided in Adeleke's appeal on Friday, concluding that the election tribunal fell short in finding that Gboyega Oyetola and the All Progressives Congress had established their claim of over voting. The court of appeal had faulted the tribunal for making a decision which was based on oral witness of alleged over voting as what is usually considered are the information on the BVAs and voter registration. In addition to overturning the tribunal's decision, the court gave the All Progressive Congress, APC, and its candidate Gboyega Oyetola N500, 000 in costs in its lead judgment, which was delivered by Justice Mohammed Lawal.
