Nollywood Actor, Azeez Ijaduade, Shot by Police in Ogun, Battles for Life


Popular Nigerian actor and filmmaker Azeez Ololade Ijaduade is fighting for his life after being shot by a police officer in Iperu, Ogun State.

The incident occurred on Saturday night.

Details of the shooting are still emerging, but according to a midnight Instagram story posted by Ijaduade's colleague, Abiodun Adebanjo (@iamabiodunadebanjo), the actor was shot by a police officer. He said that Ijaduade is currently receiving treatment at Babcock University Teaching Hospital.


"Please we need help in Iperu," the story read. "My director, Azeez Ijaduade, @kingzeez1, was shot by a Nigeria Police personnel. He is presently at Babcock University Teaching Hospital. Anybody with the contacts of the Police IG or Commissioner should reach out.


Attempts to reach the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Omolola Odutola, were unsuccessful early Sunday morning.
