'Igbo man no dey dish food from pot' - Nigerian man tells his South African wife

A Nigerian man informs his South African wife it is wrong in the Igbo culture for him to dish food from the pot himself as she refuses to do so.

The couple who are based in South Africa could be heard having an argument over who should serve the food.


The Igbo man who returned back late came home to demand that his wife served him his food from the pot.

She refused claiming she had cooked it already and all he had to do was just take a plate and dish it himself.

This caused a ruckus as the man insisted it is unheard of in his culture for him to go his wife's pot and serve himself.


The South African wife disagreed, supporting her claim by saying they were in her country now so his culture doesn't hold water.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election.
