INTERNAL DISPUTES WITHIN OUR LEADERSHIP: THE SABOTAGE WHICH FACILITATED THE INVASION OF ENEMIES ON OUR LANDS IN IFON.
To all the indigenous sons and daughters of our beloved Ifọn, I will like to swiftly divert our attention to this particular opinion. After my scrupulous observations, I discovered that one of the major factors, which affected our Land (Ifon) during this time of war,is the lack of proper coordination among our so-called leaders. This opinion might look presumptuous or obnoxious to some people however, to say the fact, it is quite apparent, that the internal porousness, discriminations, disloyalty and more among our leaders, immensely contributed to our set-back in this situation. A lizard cannot penetrate, unless there is a crack on the wall.
This matter on ground,is not all about shouting the Ilobu only, we also need some corrections in our internal structure! Before, Ifon used to be a strong town, that no neighboring town can easily penetrate during time of war.
But, what has now gone wrong with us this time around? A right thinking person will also perceive that some things are wrong within the structure of our leadership, including the political, traditional and other ones.
They need to work on various internal disputes and many other issues, which have polarised and weakened our strength! Charity begins at home.
There is not a way you can easily overcome an external battle, without firstly conquering the internal one! After all these pandemoniums would have settled, I sternly recommend we persuade our leaders, to come together and rebuild the Pride of the town!
I do not want to be too explicit or specific on this matter but, I know people with discerning mentality would have deeply understood what I am talking about.
In addition, this also applies to we the youths and students.
Whatever the situation we are, let us always make sure that our voices are in oneness.
Even if we are not really satisfied with the condition, let us for the sake of this Land, go towards one direction, and not allowing sentiment or emotion control us.
Please, we really need CO-OPERATION in this town, at all levels (among both the old and the young, the leaders and the followers).
Everything is not all about taking weapons before you can defend your territory.
Our first contributions should be our patriotism, loyalty, cooperation and so on, to our treasured town.
This is what will enable us work as a people, and subsequently withstand any external force that attempt to shudder us!
On a final note, this write-up is not made to libel anyone,or tarnish anybody's image, all is just an effort to point out where we seem to be weak, and suggest the befitting solution. Thanks for your understanding.
