Finally,NECO Releases 2023 SSCE Results.

 The National Examination Council will today release the results of the 2023 Senior Secondary School Certificate to anxious students and parents.

The delay in releasing the much awaited result, is also delaying the conclusion of admission into universities this year.

It would be recalled that NECO,which concluded the conduct of the examination in early August 2023, had stated to release the results within 45 days but the promise did not materialise.

Information later filtered in that the results would be made public on September 26th or 30th but the two dates came passed without any show.

Later, there was another release date of October 5, 2023,which did not also yield any result until the official the confirmation that the results will be released by 11am today.

To check your 2023 NECO result,you can follow the guide-lines below:

•Go to the NECO result-checking portal.
•Head to the NECO result viewing portal at www.neco.gov.ng
•Choose your exam year (which is 2023).
•Choose your exam type (SSCE Internal June/July).
•Enter your token number and registration
number.
•Click on the “Check Result” Button.

Federal Government May Raise Minimum Wage to N200,000, to Take Decision Soon.

There are strong indications that the federal government is favourably disposed to raising the minimum wage to as high as N200k per month as demanded by the organised labour in the country. However, state governors are urging for caution while Anambra State governor Charles Soludo has been asked to chair a Technical Working Group (TWG) to resolve the issues and its various dimensions. LEADERSHIP gathered that the matter was discussed at the last month's National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and it was there that the Salaries, Incomes & Wages Commission made a presentation on how the federal government can meet up with the demand of N200,000 per month minimum wage. Ladoke Akintola University LAUTECH Bans All Students From Taking Cars To School.

Students of Ladoke Akintola University, Ogbomoso in Oyo State, have been barred from driving or bringing cars to the campus. The management of the institution also banned the use of tinted vehicles by staff members and students, adding that learner permits must be placed on the vehicles of beginner drivers. Unauthorized vehicles parked at various locations in the university are to be taken out with immediate effect. Registrar of the institution, Kayode Ogunleye said the decision was reached at a management meeting held on Wednesday, April 19. He said; "The University management at its regular meeting held, on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, deliberated on the occurrence of traffic on the campus and decided as follows: "Vehicles owned by students are hereby banned from entering the university campus. He was asked how many seconds there were in a year and a half, he answered in about two minutes, 47,304,000. Again he was asked how many seconds a man has lived who is 70 years, 17 days and 12 hours old, he answered in a minute and a half 2,210,500,800.  One of the men was working out the problems on paper, and informed Fuller that he was wrong, because the answer was much smaller.
