Court Finally Sentences the Killer of Bolanle Raheem,Lagos Slain Lawyer to Death.



Court sentences police officer Drambi Vandi to d£ath for k!lling lawyer Bolanle Raheem.


Justice Ibironke Harrison of a Lagos State High Court has sentenced police officer, ASP Drambi Vandi, to d€ath by hanging for k!lling lawyer, Barrister Bolanle Raheem,.  


Vandi had shot Mrs Raheem d€ad in the presence of her husband while returning from church on Christmas Day December 25, 2022 at a Police checkpoint in Lagos.


Delivering judgment on Monday, October 9, the court found the suspended Police Officer guilty of the Christmas Day k!lling of the lawyer and sentenced him to d£ath by hanging.

Federal Government May Raise Minimum Wage to N200,000, to Take Decision Soon.

There are strong indications that the federal government is favourably disposed to raising the minimum wage to as high as N200k per month as demanded by the organised labour in the country. However, state governors are urging for caution while Anambra State governor Charles Soludo has been asked to chair a Technical Working Group (TWG) to resolve the issues and its various dimensions. LEADERSHIP gathered that the matter was discussed at the last month's National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and it was there that the Salaries, Incomes & Wages Commission made a presentation on how the federal government can meet up with the demand of N200,000 per month minimum wage. Former presidential aide, Reno Omokri, has told Igbos what to do if they want to see their embattled son and leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, freed from detention. In a Twitter post on Wednesday (yesterday ), Omokri said Kanu would regain his freedom if only the Igbos could play their cards right.
