Augusta Osedion: Phyna Attacked On Social Media.

Winner of Big Brother Naija Season 7, Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna, has come under heavy criticism on social media following an insensitive comment on Augusta Osedion's death.


It would be recalled that the death of popular Instagram Influencer, Augusta Osedion, who was murdered by her boyfriend Benjamin Best aka Killaboi caused an outrage.


This was after 26-year-old Killaboi, who describes himself on Instagram as a blockchain developer and crypto purveyor, took to social media to confess to the alleged crime on his Instagram Story.


Reacting to the story of the young man who murdered his girlfriend of three years in Lagos, the reality star, via her snap chat, mocked those 'Killing themselves' in a romantic relationship.


She wrote: 'So them dey kill each other for this relationship thing, God abeg ooo.'


She further urged young women to be wary of the type of men they go into a romantic relationship with.


"shine ye eye.. my gender shine your eye oh, shine it, nor be to dey slay and speak big big grammer, are you smart? Are you intelligent, i don drop my 2cent.. rip to the dead," she wrote on snapchat.


Phyna's take on Augusta's death sparked outrage amongst users who felt her comments were insensitive.

Twitter owner, Elon Musk, has said that the microblogging platform will soon be paying users for ads appearing when other people view their profiles in what comes as an extension of Twitter's monetization program. This offer is, however, exclusively for verified users, according to Musk. There is a small town on your way to Oyo, just behind Fiditi, it's called Ilu Ajẹ. Literally, it translates to "Town of Witches". In the late 80s,  there used to be a sign board in Fiditi that pointed to the path to the village,  the signboard had the inscription : "WAY TO ILU AJẸ, HOME OF SCIENCE!". Lots of people used to fear indigenes of Ilu Ajẹ because it was said that every man in Ilu Ajẹ is born of a witch, and every woman in ilu Ajẹ is a witch!. It was said some people visited Ilu Ajẹ to find out why a whole village would be populated by witches. Tinubu Signs Electricity Act 2023, Empowers States, Private Companies To Generate Power.

This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. The Nigerian President, Bola Tinubu, has signed the 2023 Electricity Act which is a replacement for the Electricity and Power Sector Reform Act of 2005 into a law. The newly enacted law will de-monopolise Nigerian electricity generation, transmission, and distribution of electricity at the national level. This new law will empower states, companies, and individuals to generate, transmit and distribute electricity in the country. Recall that the Electricity Act 2023 was initially passed by lawmakers in July 2022 to allow the states to issue licences to private investors who can operate mini-grids and power plants within the state. But the Act precludes interstate and transnational electricity distribution.
