The young music act, who has been making a steady wave in the entertainment industry and smashing diverse records, turned 23 years today, May 1st, 2023.

Nigerian chef, Hilda Effiong Bassey popularly known as Hilda Baci on Monday night set a brand new Guinness World Record of 100 hours for the longest cooking time by an individual as she ended her cooking marathon. Hilda Baci had early Monday morning broken the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual cook. By 08:32am on Monday, Hilda Baci had cooked for 88 hours and 32 minutes to equal the record which was previously set by an Indian chef, Lata Tondon. Tondon on her own part had achieved the feat after cooking for 87 hours, 45 minutes and 00 secs back in the year 2019. Hilda carried on despite having broken the record as she stated that she planned to cook for 96 hours, thereby setting a new world record as the first human on earth to spend such an amount of time cooking. Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu announced that the Lagos government has received the first batch of electric buses for public transportation, making it the first state in Nigeria to do so. BREAKING: Court jails Akwa Ibom YPP gov candidate 42 years for corruption.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election. He was a major challenger to the PDP candidate, Umo Eno, in next year’s governorship election in Akwa Ibom State. Details later…
