The Afrochella Experience celebrates Africa's diverse culture and the vibrant work of African creatives & entrepreneurs; this year's edition was themed "Afrofuturism."

While performing at the festival, Ayra Starr slipped and fell on her back while trying to give her fans an energetic show.

She, however, stood on her feet almost immediately and continued the show as if nothing happened.

Taken to Twitter to express the painful experience, the self-acclaimed celestial being encouraged the organizers to take the cleaning of the stage more seriously.

"Afrochella next time y'all should clean your stage after every artist performance, that fall was very unnecessary and painful," she wrote.

A popular traditionalist, Abdulazeez Adegbola, a.k.a Tani Olohun, has pleaded with the Muslim community to forgive him for allegedly burning the Qur'an and defaming some Muslims in Kwara State. Tani Olorun made this plea while addressing the court after he was granted bail on Thursday, Nov. 16. The cases against Tani Olorun heard on Thursday were instituted by Sheikh Labeeb Lagbaji and Modrasat Muhammed led by Professor Abubakar Aliagan before Magistrate Adam for allegedly burning the Quran among other offences. Olori Iyabo Aremu, the abducted wife of the slain Olukoro of Koro Ekiti in Kwara State, General Segun Aremu-Cole (retd) and two others have regained their freedom. Olori, her adopted daughter, Feranmi and one other victim were released on Monday night, February 5, 2024 and arrived Koro town around 10:45pm. "The news just received from home confirms that Olori and the girl have been released and have returned to Koro about 30 minutes ago," the Asiwaju of Koro, Chief Samuel Ayobola, told newsmen. Federal Government May Raise Minimum Wage to N200,000, to Take Decision Soon.

There are strong indications that the federal government is favourably disposed to raising the minimum wage to as high as N200k per month as demanded by the organised labour in the country. However, state governors are urging for caution while Anambra State governor Charles Soludo has been asked to chair a Technical Working Group (TWG) to resolve the issues and its various dimensions. LEADERSHIP gathered that the matter was discussed at the last month's National Economic Council (NEC) meeting and it was there that the Salaries, Incomes & Wages Commission made a presentation on how the federal government can meet up with the demand of N200,000 per month minimum wage.
