China opens police station in Nigeria

The Chinese government has opened police stations in Nigeria and in over 20 countries in Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa.

The move could be viewed as a campaign to tackle the rising criminal activities, such as fraud and telecommunication crimes by Chinese nationals living abroad.

The new development was stated in an investigative statement titled, 110 Overseas Chinese Transnational Policing Gone Wild.

The Chinese Police Station known as "Service Station" is located in Benin City in Nigeria and in two other countries in Africa including Maseru in Lesotho, and Dar es Salaam in Tanzania.

Further reports also have it that the police stations are created to bring "down on all kinds of illegal and criminal activities involving overseas Chinese".

1. We all must have passed through one  primary or secondary schools at a time in life. The assertion may not be true in other geopolitical zones, but it is very true in the South Western Nigeria. BREAKING: Court jails Akwa Ibom YPP gov candidate 42 years for corruption.

Mr. Albert. The governorship candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP), Bassey Albert, has been sentenced to 42 years in prison for corruption. A Federal High Court in Uyo, on Thursday, convicted and sentenced Mr Albert who was prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. He has been taken to Ikot Ekpene prisons, Akwa Ibom State , to serve his prison term. Mr Albert, a serving senator representing Akwa Ibom North East District, was accused of receiving bribes of 12 cars worth N254 million from an oil marketer, Olajidee Omokore, during his (Albert’s) tenure (2010 – 2014) as commissioner for finance in Akwa Ibom State. The convicted senator was a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, the ruling party in the state, before he defected months ago to the YPP, where he secured the party’s ticket for the 2023 governorship election.
